Our know-how and years of experience in automation technology, distinguish us globally as recognized by experts in the development and production of machine control systems, identification, mobile weighing technology, and flexible software solutions. After studying business administration, Volker Harms worked at the Allgemeine Kreditversicherung Coface AG (a credit insurance company) in Mainz. In 1993, he joined his father’s company becoming commercial executive at MOBA Dresden. In 1994, he took the role of CEO of MOBA Data GmbH. In 1999, Volker established MOBA Corporation in the US. In 2004, he took over the management of MOBA Mobile Automation AG from his father Paul Harms.
Holding a doctoral degree in industrial engineering, Dr. Barthel had been head of corporate logistics, production planning and control at the Fraunhofer Institute for manufacturing engineering and automation IPA, in Stuttgart. Previously, he worked at Robert Bosch GmbH. Dr. Barthel has been MOBA's vice president for production and logistics.
David Shelstad has more than 15 years of professional experience in sales and marketing in the industry of international construction machinery. Before joining MOBA in 2007, as a construction engineer with an MBA degree, he was employed by Caterpillar Paving Products Inc., and TSD Integrated Controls (both in Minneapolis, Minnesota).

The innovative strength was awarded the Top100 Prize on 29th June by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar and is thus one of the most innovative companies of the German middle class. In the independent selection process, MOBA was particularly convincing in the category "Outward Focus / Open Innovation".
To be always up to date, MOBA is heavily involved in research projects and regularly cooperates with established names in the construction industry. Numerous test sites are equipped with new developments and analyzed to get a direct feedback from the practice. Tests are also taking place at the main location in Limburg. "A dedicated test track is unique for a company of our size," says Markus Schmitt, Head of Marketing and Product Management, describing the new site.
